Copper Solution and Network Cabling Design
Octel Networks has over Twelve years of combined structured cabling design experience. Our in-house design staff consists of certified RCDD’s. NCS has experience in vertical and horizontal connectivity projects spanning a wide variety of industrial and commercial network cabling applications, as well as expertise in all aspects of network topologies and LAN solutions such as: CAT 5e, CAT 6 and Fiber Optic network design. Also, an NCS design incorporates important aspects like cross talk, bandwidth consideration, cable conformance, calculation of transmission error rates and important details often overlooked such as fire stopping and cable management.
Whether upgrading current cabling networks, relocating offices or unfitting facilities, Network Cabling Systems has the experience and capabilities to provide your IT staff with an accurate scope of work, bid drawings and RFP documents that will eliminate costly change orders as the project unfolds.
Copper is by far the most versatile and the most widely used conductor material. It is also compatible with numerous coatings to enhance termination and retard corrosion. Annealed copper conductors provide better flex life than hard copper conductors. Where greater flexibility is necessary, the annealed grade should be specified since it employs a soft steel core with the flexibility near that of copper but with twice the strength. High strength will be achieved by using the hard drawn form. In the applications of high frequency transmission, no loss of conductivity is evident from that of solid copper due to transmission along the copper surface (skin effect).
